Abstract

This paper shows how to design a DTMF home automation system. What is DTMF? “DTMF” stands for “Dual Tone Multi Frequency”. The idea behind DTMF is that you can send commands from your cell phone to control different home appliances like bulbs, fans, etc. These commands are sent using a cell phone's number code dialing function. Our system comes with a decoder and a relay module that allows you to control any appliance. Program code is fed into the Microcontroller. Powering the circuit The main benefit of this circuit is that it has a wide range. We can monitor the status of our home appliances and control them from anywhere. In our system, we have used 4 bulbs as AC loads. A 12V transformer is powering the circuit.
