A STUDY ON EVALUATING PERCEPTION OF INVESTORS TOWARDS SELECTING A MUTUAL FUND SCHEMES IN SOUTH MUMBAI REGION

Abstract

Investors in India has various Investment options such as Mutual fund, PPF, NSC, Fixed deposit, stock, bonds, real estate, gold etc. The main purpose of the study is to examining the significant indicators influencing Selection of Mutual Fund scheme. The technique used for the current research is one sample t-test (One tailed). It is seen that Indicators responsible for the selection of mutual fund scheme are time horizon, risk tolerance, return, capital appreciation, full disclosure pertaining to funds and schemes, charges, service quality, E-services, safety, liquidity, prompt support during invertor grievance, AMC track record , performance of the security , fund managers expertise and early bird incentives. The study will guide the Asset management companies for promoting the Mutual Fund Investment schemes among investors
