Progressive collapse analysis is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of cable-stayed bridges under extreme loading conditions. This review paper provides a comprehensive overview of progressive collapse analysis methodologies, focusing on their application to cable-stayed bridges using SAP2000 software. The paper discusses the unique structural characteristics of cable-stayed bridges, the challenges posed by progressive collapse, and the importance of robust analysis methods. SAP2000 has emerged as a valuable tool for simulating progressive collapse behavior in cablestayed bridges, enabling engineers to assess the performance of these structures under various loading scenarios accurately. The software allows for the design of alternate load paths, advanced material modeling, and consideration of dynamic effects, all of which are crucial for enhancing the progressive collapse resistance of cablestayed bridges.Design recommendations derived from the reviewed literature emphasize the importance of comprehensive analysis and robust design strategies to ensure the structural integrity of cablestayed bridges. The insights provided in this paper aim to guide future research and inform best practices in the design and analysis of cablestayed bridges, ultimately enhancing their resilience and safety in the face of progressive collapse risks.
